About Us

The Black Physicians Association of Manitoba was founded in 2025 as a professional community dedicated to recognizing, celebrating, and supporting Black physicians across all areas of medical practice in Manitoba.

We bring together physicians and medical learners to foster connection, mentorship, advocacy, and leadership. Through initiatives like networking events, and mentorship programs, we aim to increase visibility, create pathways for aspiring physicians, and ensure patients have access to culturally responsive care.

Our work extends to support International Medical Graduates and newly arrived physicians as they navigate Manitoba’s healthcare system, offering guidance on practice integration, and professional development.
